Here is something fun to try! The 2010 Synchronized Championships will be here in MPLS in March. If you are interested in auditioning for the open ceremonies, click here for the full details.

My name is Dina Kortuem and I am the Director of Synchronized Skating and a coach with the St Cloud Figure Skating Club. I am writing to let you know about synchronized skating opportunities that the SCFSC offers skaters at all levels.

The St Cloud FSC is proud to have three teams that compete during the season and perform in our annual ice show. Our beginner team, the Pebbles, is comprised of Learn to Skate skaters of any age that are in Basic 5 and above. This team practices during the fall session and competes at the Granite City Classic in November. Our Pre-Juvenile level team is for freestyle club skaters that are no-test fs and up, but are under the age of 13 years old. This team practices 1-2 day per week throughout the fall and winter and competes in 3-5 competitions during that season. Our advanced team, the Granite City Rockettes are a Intermediate level team this year. These skaters are 13 years old or older and have passed their Pre-Juvenile moves in the field tests. This team practices two days per week throughout the fall and winter and competes in 3-5 competitions during that season as well.

The reason I am writing you with this information is to offer Synchronized Skating to other skaters in our area that may not have been aware of what we offer. At this time we are still looking for skaters to participate on our Pebbles and Little Rocks teams. Synchronized skating is a great outlet to continue skating and be involved with a team at the same time!

Please feel free to share these Synchronized Skating opportunities with anyone you feel maybe interested. I would be happy to answer any additional questions in regards to membership, commitment, cost, time, scheduling, etc. Dina Kortuem (320) 266-2001 or Lori Stuart at (320)259-0867.

Our History

The St. Cloud Figure Skating Club, incorporated under the laws of the State of Minnesota October 1973, accepted into membership by the USFSA in 1976, now provides skating to many area skaters year round.

Our Club

The St. Cloud Figure Skating Club is run by a Board of Directors, with many committees doing various duties. It is a non-profit, mostly volunteer club. All parents are strongly encouraged to become active in helping a great club become better.

Our Goal

Our main goal is to promote the advancement of figure skating in the St. Cloud and surrounding areas. St. Cloud Figure Skating Club members can contract for ice, participate in our annual ice show and competition.
