The development of proper body alignment and blade usage, leading to more secure edges and stronger more efficient power on different types of steps and strokes resulting in more speed stamina and stability.
Who can participate
Any SCFSC freestyle skater, LTS+ and LTS skaters basic 5 and above.
Dates and Details
All classes will be held at the MAC on the below Saturdays and will be 30 minutes in length. Buddy Lesson Option - following the power session, the B5 - LTS+ skaters will have the option of joining the freestyle session for a 15 minute buddy lesson provided by a qualified basic skills instructor. There is no additional cost for this and it may lead to a more informed transition into freestyle when the skater is ready. Skaters, please note to plan ahead to warm up off-ice on your own prior to the start of each power class. A proper off-ice warm-up is important.

Coaching/Skating Background Coaching experience 25+ years through 4th Figure, Senior Freestyle, Senior Moves, through Qualifying Competition, Synchro Regional Competition. Other Credentials: Members of SCFSC, USFS, PSA USA Hockey Certified, PSA Rated Professional - Registered Moves and Registered Freestyle.
X-Skate High Skaters - no cost, benefit of X-Skate High participation X-Skate Low, LTS+, LTS basic 5 and above Skaters - $10/session If your skater is interested in moving to X-Skate High, please contact the financial administrator and there will be no cost for your skater to attend these classes. Billing will be included on the April/May Invoices.
Registration is required - Registration is open up to the final date of classes, but is required.
